The Community Centre Alliance works with five St. John’s Community Centres to reduce and remove barriers linked to low-income.

Community Centre Alliance

The Community Centre Alliance Newfoundland and Labrador Inc. (CCA) is a unique partnership between five Community Centres in St. John’s:

  • Buckmaster’s Circle Community Centre
  • Froude Avenue Community Centre
  • MacMorran Community Centre
  • Rabbittown Community Centre
  • Virginia Park Community Centre

Our Community Centre partners are located in social housing neighbourhoods and collectively serve approximately 1,100 homes within these neighbourhoods. The Centres support residents by removing the many barriers linked to low-income.

CCA was created in 2002 to specifically support employment and education programs and services in the Centres. Today, CCA works to reduce and remove barriers by focusing on three pillars:

  1. Employment and Career Development,
  2. Learning and Literacy, and
  3. Wellness (including Food Security)
